Der Name ist Programm. KAIKEN Ultra ist alles, außer gewöhnlich. Der sortenreine Malbec vermählt drei schon ziemlich schwindlige Hochlagen im Valle de Uco: Los Chacayes (1250 m), Altamira (1200 m) und Gualtallary (1300 bis 1600 m). Das Klima hier oben kann rau sein, doch es liefert einen Malbec von herausragender Qualität, kraftvoll, ausdrucksvoll und lebendig. Die besten Trauben werden von Hand gelesen, streng sortiert und sanft auf der Maische vergoren. Der Wein reift zwölf Monate in französischer Eiche, dann weitere sechs Monate in der Flasche, bevor man ihn schließlich zum Genuss freigibt. Tiefrot, mit verführerischem Duft nach dunklen Früchten und Gewürzen. Am Gaumen konzentriert, vollmundig, vielschichtig und geschmeidig, mit perfekter Balance von reifem Tannin und saftiger Säurefrische.
